Summary, etc. "Two workshops involving representative groups of educational leaders from Tonga and Western Samoa were held in 1979 and 1980. The first of these was held in the South Pacific Forum Fale at Tonga College from Tuesday, 28th August, 1979 until Tuesday, 4th September, 1979. The principal purpose of this workshop was to develop statements of the Aims of Primary Education for each country. The second workshop was held in the Multi-purpose Hall, Department of Education, Apia from Wednesday, 7th May, 1980 until Tuesday, 13th May, 1980 and its purpose was to develop statements of Aims of Secondary Education for each country. This report contains the statements of Aims developed for Tonga together with the addresses given at the plenary sessions."
