520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. "This dissertation is an attempt to illustrate the potential of co-operatives in national development by reviewing the experiences of the co-operative movement in selected countries. It is focused on the movement's growth, current involvement and contributions to resolving some of the key issues raised in the Introduction, in relation to national development. such issues refer to income distribution, poverty, unemployment, social and economic inequality, as enhanced by the 'dual economics' and current education system with curriculum irrelevancies. The beginning of the movement in Britain is briefly reviewed, since it is the Rochdale Pioneers' model that is commonly adopted in former British colonies and many Third World nations"--Abstract.
