"Based on 'the Records of Discussion' concluded in May and June 2010 between Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and governments of Fiji, Tonga, and Vanuatu, 'The Project for Strengthening the Needs-Based In-Service Training (NB-IST) for Community Health Nurses (the Project)' was launched. The Project is a technical cooperation project for a period from October 2010 to March 2014 (three and a half years}. The Project aims to strengthen the mechanism of the NB-IST for community health nurses (CHNs) to the end for improving quality of community health services in these countries. And the project activities in Tonga were launched in February 2011"--Introduction.
