"The study is concerned with the management of mangrove resources in the Kingdom of Tonga, Its main aim is to provide basic knowledge and to Foster increased understanding about mangrove ecosystems by (1) examining the composition, distribution, availability, uses and functions of mangrove resources in Tonga; (2) discussing the exploitation of mangrove resources and the influential factors exerting pressure on them; (3) suggesting an environmental decision-making model for the management of mangrove resources."--Abstract.
